At both universities, students enter a first-year science programme before applying to medical school in Year 2, with admission based on first-year grades, an interview, and additional tests such as UMAT (Otago). Auckland also offers Graduate Entry, allowing students with a relevant bachelor&#8217;s degree from another university or country to enter medical school directly.
