University Overview

Bond University, Australia’s first private university, was established in 1987 by businessman Alan Bond. In 1988, it was granted full university status under the Bond University Act passed by the Queensland Parliament. Bond University actively operates academic and student exchange agreements with many overseas universities in countries such as Korea, France, Germany, and the United States, and is considered one of the most dynamically developing universities in Australia.

As one of only two private universities in Australia, its tuition fees are relatively high. However, one of its major advantages is its high-quality personalised teaching and smaller class sizes compared with general public universities, allowing students to receive more focused instruction. The university also offers a variety of scholarship opportunities.

Bond University follows a three-semester system, with semesters beginning each year in January, May, and September. Because of this structure, students may complete a bachelor’s degree in two years and a master’s degree in one year.
