In 2026, Australia is home to nine universities ranked among the world’s top 100 according to the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings. Australian higher education institutions offer globally recognised programs and courses, underpinned by the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). The AQF supports clarity and consistency of qualifications, making it easier for graduates to have their credentials acknowledged internationally. Australian universities also provide modern infrastructure, advanced curricula and strong support for research and innovation, giving students access to high‑quality learning environments and enhanced career and postgraduate opportunities.”

Why Australia?

Variety of study options & research opportunities

Australia has over 40 universities offering hundreds of courses across almost every discipline. The country invests heavily in research, producing innovations like WiFi, penicillin, and the ultrasound machine. Students benefit from world-class facilities and resources that support both study and research.

Work while and after study

Student visa holders can work part-time while studying (up to 48 hours per fortnight) and full-time during breaks. Graduates of at least two years’ study may apply for the Temporary Graduate Visa (subclass 485) to gain work experience in Australia. This combination of study and practical work helps build career skills and professional networks.

03. High quality of life

Australia consistently ranks highly for livability, with Canberra, Adelaide, and Brisbane in the global top 10 for quality of life. Residents enjoy safe cities, sunny weather, and easy access to natural wonders such as the Great Barrier Reef and Kakadu National Park. The climate and outdoor lifestyle support active, balanced living while pursuing education and career goals.
