Green List

What is the New Zealand Green List?

The New Zealand immigration system announced on 11 May 2022 a list called the Green Lists to provide fast-tracked and guaranteed skills for skilled occupations for which New Zealand continues to be in shortage. This Green List brings together various occupation lists and immigration pathways that were previously fragmented. Immigration hopefuls who meet the occupation list, educational background and work experience requirements can apply for permanent residency from 5 September 2022 immediately upon arrival or after 2 years of working in New Zealand on a work visa.

Therefore, the Green List is an occupation list published by New Zealand based on various occupation categories globally, through which you can acquire permanent residency faster and more easily. Even if your occupation is not on this list, you can still apply for permanent residency through the Skilled Migrant Category.
