About the school
AIS, with 33 years of tradition, was established in 1990 as one of New Zealand’s largest private institutions, offering programs from English language courses to MBA degrees. The main campus is located in Mt Albert, about 10 minutes from Auckland city via motorway, featuring one of the largest private campuses in the region.
Recognized as a Category 1 private university by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority, AIS is renowned for its high-quality education and career support, allowing students to study alongside local students. AIS is the only private university in New Zealand offering diplomas, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees in Business, IT, Hospitality Management, and Tourism Management. Practical, industry-focused teaching and a flexible three-semester system enable students to graduate earlier than the standard program duration.
AIS also offers on-campus accommodation with single, double, and four-person rooms, a fully equipped gym, tennis courts, basketball courts, and libraries, supporting both academic and campus life. Two campus cafeterias provide freshly prepared meals, snacks, and beverages at affordable prices.
