About the School
Ara Institute of Canterbury is a leading institute of technology in New Zealand’s Canterbury region. Formed in 2016 through the merger of CPIT and Aoraki Polytechnic, Ara delivers practical, career-focused education and hands-on training. Around 19,000 domestic and international students enrol each year, representing more than 50 countries.
