About the School
Ara Institute of Canterbury is a leading institute of technology based in the Canterbury region. Established in 2016 through the merger of CPIT (Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology) and Aoraki Polytechnic, Ara specialises in hands-on, skills-based education. Each year, around 19,000 domestic and international students enrol, with staff and students representing more than 50 countries.
