About the school

Victoria University of Wellington, founded in 1897, is located in Wellington, the capital city of New Zealand. Wellington, at the southern end of the North Island, is the political, social, and cultural center of the country. It hosts the Parliament, the Supreme Court, and many foreign embassies, making it a clean, safe, and politically significant city. It is also a cultural hub, home to the national museum Te Papa, the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, and the Royal New Zealand Ballet.

The university’s main campus is located in Kelburn, overlooking central Wellington, and houses the Humanities and Social Sciences faculties, as well as the Science faculty. The Pipitea campus, near Parliament, hosts the Law and Business faculties. The Te Aro campus is home to Architecture and Design programs, and the Karori campus houses the Faculty of Education. All campuses offer modern facilities and convenient resources for students.
