About the school
The University of Waikato is located in Hamilton on New Zealand’s North Island. Hamilton is a vibrant university city with a high proportion of young residents. It is about a 1.5-hour drive from Auckland and serves as a transport hub connecting major regions, including Tauranga, Rotorua, and Taupo.
The Hamilton campus spans 65 hectares with gardens, lakes, and modern facilities, including libraries and on-campus accommodation. The Tauranga campus is operated in partnership with the Bay of Plenty Polytechnic and is located in the city center.
