AUT
Auckland University of Technology
About the school
Auckland University of Technology (AUT) was established in 1895 as a specialist technical institute and became New Zealand’s eighth fully accredited university in 2000. AUT is located in Auckland and operates four campuses: a central city campus, two northern campuses, and one in Manukau in the south. Depending on your major and courses, classes may be held across different campuses, but convenient shuttle services connect all locations.
The City Campus hosts the Business and Law, and Culture and Society faculties, and includes libraries, bookstores, gyms, and international student support services. South Campus (Manukau) is approximately a 30-minute drive from the city and offers programs in business, IT, education, and health. North Campus, about 20 minutes from the city, focuses on health and education programs. The Millennium Campus, recently opened in Auckland’s north, provides specialized facilities such as swimming pools, sports labs, and equipment for sports science programs.
AUT offers over 250 programs, ranging from certificates to bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in fields such as Business and Law, Culture and Society, Design and Creative Technologies, and Health and Environmental Studies.
