About the school
ICL Business School Auckland is centrally located in the heart of the city, with essential services, public transport, shops, and amenities all within a five-minute walk. As part of the ICL Education Group, alongside AEA, Bridge, and New Horizon English academies, it is recognised as one of New Zealand’s largest private education providers. Formerly known as ACG Business School, ICL acquired the International College of Linguistics in 2002 and has since delivered high-quality academic and English language programmes. Its expansion continued with the acquisition of Auckland English Academy in 2010 and the merger with New Horizon College of English in Napier in 2012.
Students can choose from General English, IELTS, and TESOL courses, as well as career-focused programmes in business, computing, and early childhood education. The Master of Business Informatics (MBI) Level 9 at ICL Business School combines business and information technology, preparing graduates for careers across both industries. The programme includes eight Level 8 subjects worth 15 credits each, followed by a 45-credit Level 9 research thesis. This 16-month qualification consists of 12 months of coursework and examinations, plus four months of supervised research and thesis completion. Eligible graduates may receive a three-year post-study work visa, while partners and dependent children may qualify for relevant work and study benefits.
